If you have long hair, here are some quick tips to manage your hair better and help you better prepare for that special night. Make sure you purchase a blow dryer with a diffuser that is light enough to hold for a while, some curl enhancing balm, a small-barreled curling iron and misting bottle for natural curl. Select your hair spray carefully and choose one that will hold without leaving your hair crunchy. After you have assembled everything together, apply your favorite curl enhancing balm or mousse which will help coax out the curls, especially if your hair has plenty of natural curls. In this case sometimes all you need is the misting bottle. Remember to take your time to detangle your hair and allow it to air dry approximately 80%. If you have beautiful long natural curls, this is the time to begin scrunching your hair. Remember to mist frequently if you're styling natural curl. If you prefer the blow dryer method, remember to push your fingers into the style and lift at the roots as this will help create the style you want, and you won't need a brush. You may want to dry your hair upside down while scrunching with your fingers, as this will add extra volume. A small-barreled curling iron is worth its weight in gold and will give definition to your curls. In most photos that you see, note how any feature bangs have been coaxed into loose curls. If you're satisfied with your style, spray it with your favorite hair spray to hold it in place. Remember to keep the following tips in mind, especially if you have dandruff. Unfortunately, dandruff is usually a sign of too much oil, the one common mistake being not shampooing your hair enough during the week.
