What to wear – If you are looking for advice on what to wear, you are not alone. This is one of the number one things that people stress over when it comes to the prom. Keep in mind that the most important tip is to wear something that flatters you best and suits your personality and style. Not only will you look better in it, but you will be more comfortable and confident which will radiate from you as well, completing the look.
Remember to balance- Girls, when it comes to choosing a dress, remember to balance out your look. For example, if you have a dress that is glittery or full of sequins, you should choose accessories that are mild and plain in color. Too much flashiness will come across as tacky. The same thing goes for skin-revealing styles. If you have a lot of cleavage, keep a modest bottom. If you have a mid-riff baring middle, don’t wear a skirt that slits up the side. Don’t wear jewelry so flashy it distracts from the rest of your ensemble.
Adorn a sexy scent- Have you thought about what perfume you might wear on the big night? This might be a good occasion to wear something special and alluring that you might not wear everyday. However, here’s an important tip: if you’ve never worn the scent before, try it out before the big night. Perfumes smell different when they react with the wearer’s body chemicals; double that with the fact that you will likely be sweating from dancing and excitement (and nerves) and you might end up with a smell that is unpleasant or overpowering. Trying it out before prom night is your best bet.
Remember that the goal of tonight is to have fun. You want to look good but not at the sacrifice of comfort. Don’t be overly concerned with fashion or with your looks. Be yourself and be confident and you will do great and have a great time!
